Porsche and Coffee - June 16th

As the Versailles city hall is a convenient meeting point for most of the people and the road to Rambouillet is a nice drive, we decide to do the same as previous one: meeting at Versailles to depart at 09:15am to head to Rambouillet Castle to get there at 10:00 to meet the rest of the participants.

Sunday is now well named: 25C, sun is everywhere and the sky is blue. You have to know that the weather has been bad since last fall.

A polo red 911 T 1973 with a psychedelic 2.5 S/T are joining me in the car park in front of the City Hall. Soon after a 1970 911 S is with us, and a 3.2 1984 factory TLU full black. We departed on time and head to Rambouillet Castel. Pure joy of having in my mirror, I am at the front on the convoy, these 911 taking over each other. As real kids, while we were passing through the tunnels, we high reved our engine to play loud pipes symphony.

Entering the Rambouillet Castle park, what a surprise! There are hundreds of sports and luxury cars. We are in the middle of car event: Renault Alpine, Renault 4 and Citroen 2cv, Cadillac and Chevrolet from the 60’s, Audi and Jaguar etc. Porsche is well represented and we insert ourselves into the Porsche area. It was a bit of a mess to meet my friends but we managed to park ourselves all together. Loads of 996, 997 and Boxster are well represented. I met two nice Porsche 964 Jubile in pristine conditions. Part of the group, there was a 993 Carrera 4S indian red nearly new, a 997 GT3 RS black, a 997 Carrera S light grey, also a 2.7 Targa grand prix white, an early Targa.
