It has been a while. Tons of things done : Complete restauration and tuning of the drive train and suspensions, being disapointing by 24 hours of le Mans ambiance, enjoyed Magny-Cours Classic Days, stunning Le Mans Classic and left a bit of rubber at Nurburgrin, Spa Francorchamps, Dijon and Bugatti.

I have been very pleased with my work on the chassis and was impressed by the confidence given while driving on a track.

However the engine was laking horsepower, remember this a 3.0 liter stock form 1978, meaning 180 HP. Another irritating point was the oil consumption : 3.0 liters every 1000kms. The block is old and probably tired, not used to go on track.

After Being at Bugatti track last july I decided to rebuild and tune the engine. The initial intent was to add 30 HP and have a red zone at 7000 RPM.

Do it by myself. I have started to work on it begining of August. The engine is now removed as well as the gearbox, and a bit more.

While doing this loads of thougts crossed my minds about the car itself : do I add more HP by installing Crburetors and racing camshafts associsted with aggressive pistons ?, do I lighten it ? Do I backdate ? Etc.

Several models got my heart and inspired me:Hart Ski T/R, L group 2 1968, 2.8 RSR, 911 R. All of these are race cars.

So What do I do ?
